Description
By replacing all the metal spacers (except the one in the middle) under the build plate of your Prusa i3 MK3 3D printer, with short pieces of silicone tubing, you can then adjust the build plate height via the 8 screws under the build plate
This might help you to get the build plate flatter and more level than when the metal spacers were mounted
A detailed description of the modification can be found here: https://www.schweinert.com/silicone-bed-level-mod-prusa-mk3/
The mini jig allows you to cut off about 1 mm from the pieces of silicone tubing, if you find them too high, and the screws are therefore too hard to tighten
Note: Perform the modification only if you are certain that you have sufficient knowledge to do so correctly and safely
Note: The modification is not an official modification from the 3D printer manufacturer Prusa Research There is a risk that the modification will damage your 3D printer and/or other objects, people, etc., and your 3D printer may no longer be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty if you choose to make the modification. If you choose to make the modification, you are fully responsible for any damage or problems that may arise as a result of the modification, regardless of whether you made the modification correctly or not.
